Founder Success Story QnA

Where are you coming from and what’s your background?

I’m coming from Indianapolis, Indiana. I’m 29 years old and currently I’m not at home. I’m actually here visiting my parents. Before joining the real world, I was a software engineer working at a private company. For my previous job, I was working on their software, just trying to fix third-party issues. I got tired of being shoved in a closet and felt there wasn’t much purpose, so I wanted something far more than that.

What campus did you join in the real world?

The first campus I started with was content creation plus AI. I’ve always enjoyed creating content, even years before this. About 10 years ago, I was a content creator on YouTube. I love the integration of AI with content creation and videos. Since I come from an engineering background, I also looked into the AI automation agency campus. Nearly everything I know was already in that campus, and I felt it was made for me. I didn’t have second thoughts and just went for it.

What kind of work are you doing now?

I’m involved in a variety of niches. I’m involved in repair shops, personal fitness, real estate, and I’m making something for a mobile application that’s pretty much finished. Opportunities come up in the moment, and if I want to capitalize on them, I solve their problem right there on the spot and give them a solution as fast as I possibly can.

What’s your educational background?

When I was 18 years old, around 2014-2018, I started university studying Electrical Computer Engineering Technology. It’s basically a guy who programs electrical stuff plus software engineering – quite a balance between the two.

What’s the difference between university education and the real world?

With university, I feel like they BS it all the time. They gave me courses that are complete BS like English courses and language courses that are just there for promotion. They give you fundamentals before going to advanced, and that just takes years. In the real world, you go straight into it, straight into the fire. You get actual projects that you create for yourself and for clients. University doesn’t give you much opportunity – they teach basics and hope you can get a job someday. The real world is straight to the point with the skills required, bridging the gap for what businesses are looking for in the workforce. There’s a huge gap where university academics live in their own delusional world. Without application, without what businesses are requesting, you have this huge gap. I see university as a scam now. The real world is direct and straight to the point, very easy to pick up things like APIs and webhooks that take three years to learn in university.

What do you think about the community in the real world?

The community is absolutely phenomenal. First and foremost, the professors are amazing. I listen to Luke’s lessons and they’re all phenomenal. The community themselves are very highly inspiring and inspire
