What’s your name?
My name is Emiliyan Cortev.
How old are you?
I’m 31 years old.
Where are you coming from?
I’m coming from Bulgaria. It’s near Romania. It’s in the borders with Romania.
How long have you been on the real world?
I’m on the real world for. So I joined the real world in October 2024. It’s a long story. I was working in United States on a cruise ship and there I met a guy from Serbia. So we became really close friends with him. He’s my brother from another mother. So once we knew each other more and he shared with me about the real world and about date and how the platform is working.
What was it that you found difficult in the beginning?
So it was I mean I’m not going to lie to you. I’m really honest. So I was just joining two three campuses and I just wanted to see like you know when you’re when you pay some money and you want to explore everything at one point. So I if I need to be honest at one point it was overwhelming you know too much information in my head. So I was I I didn’t know from where to start and you know this effect of fear of missing out.
What campuses did you fall into after?
So I mean so yeah I mean before joining the real world I had some experience in e-commerce and also crypto trading. So I was investing in stocks and crypto. So I’m sticking to these campuses like Adam’s crypto investing camp and also trading campus with professor Michael G. also the ecom campus and um hustlers campus with professor Dylan. So I realized that my main focus is like I because I’m interested in crypto and in investing in general.
What was the difference that the real world made from before when you weren’t in the real world to after the real world?
So, I learned if I need to be honest, big thanks to Professor Michael G. I learned so many things for less than one year. He this guy teach me so many things and make me realize so many things. And the one of the things I learned that you need to be patient, you need to trust the process. You need to be focused no matter if it’s in crypto or any other business or whatever you’re doing.
How’s that changed your life even now?
So if before I joined the real world I as I told you I was in crypto and in ecom but I was not consistent I was not focused I was one day I’m going to do this other day I’m going to do this in general I didn’t had plan to stick to and I was like a lost you know and after joining the real world and the campuses I learned that you need to have a plan. You need to have a process. You need to have goals. You need to have daily checklist as professor Michael teached us.
This isn’t the first course. You’ve tried other courses in camp and online as well?
Yeah, I tried many other like in Cors and Corsera and I have paid like not crazy money but I can say like I have like paid some amount of money which was not which didn’t bring so big value to me and didn’t make me a better person at the end. It’s just some things that they were copied.
What would be the difference between those courses and the real world?
I totally agree with that man. And the most interesting and the most like the best way you did it is that you show proof of work. So if you don’t do the work, you cannot go to the next level. As I always said to myself, it’s like a game and you’re building your character. I mean, you need to show proof of work that you’re interested and you’re following the process.
Have you made money in the real world?
Yeah, since I joined the real world, I have made more than $10,000 from Hustlers Compass and also from crypto investing. And it’s I mean many people will say that it’s not a big amount of money or life challenging, but I’m going to be honest with you. For me, the most important is that I’m becoming a better version of myself. So I I’m learning and I’m improving myself as a personality.
What would your message be for the people who are sitting at home watching this now and they’re thinking about joining the real world, but they’re hesitant?
So I I really understand those kind of people nowadays. It’s really common to be scared and like so many advertisements in internet for easy money and you know just do that click there and you’re going to earn money. People are just brainwashed in the social media and they don’t want to open their eyes for which is good and which is bad. So I mean I was one of those people and I first of all I was not so sure about the reward but I joined I tried and I realized that this is just gold mine.
