Founder Success Story QnA
Where are you coming from?
Um, so I’m based in LA. I’m in Topanga.
Have you ever been to UK?
I have and London is my dream city. So, it’s it’s my dream. Why does everyone say that? Why is everyone so hung up on London? I don’t know. I’ve been there twice and I was there um for work both times and it was the best experience. I don’t know. I can’t explain it. It feels so clean. It feels so I don’t know. Clean. My experience of it was clean.
How old are you and what brought you to The Real World?
So, I’m 34 and uh what brought me to the real world is my brother actually. And um to make a a long story short, I um I built something over the summer and um it what happened is that I came home and I couldn’t pay my rent and um I couldn’t pay my rent for two months um making a series of decisions and I told I talked to my brother and he was like, “Okay, Marine, you have to figure this out.” and he said, “Have you ever heard about Andrew Tate?” And I just had never had. And then he signed me up for three months into the real world. And uh that was in uh September.
What campus did you end up joining and what were your first impressions of The Real World?
Oh, wow. Um, well, I honestly I had no expectations because I was really not familiar at all with um the brand. Um, I hadn’t been exposed to it in any way. And then what was really surprising was how much information was there. I joined first the Hustler campus and then I was you know um moved to the social media and client acquisition campus and that’s the campus I’ve been on ever since and that that I’ve committed to and I just love uh Dylan. He’s amazing and he makes my life better honestly. Um, and I what but what really really surprised me was the community. Um, and as a woman, you know, I think we’re a minority obviously. Um, but I I always felt safe and I always felt welcome and um, it it’s been honestly an amazing experience for me.
Have you made money in The Real World yet?
I have. Yes.
How long did it take you to make your first dollar and how did you make it?
Yeah. No, it’s it’s a it’s a really cool story actually. Um gosh, I would have to look at it uh to give you really specific, but I think it took me about it was really quick. I don’t know, maybe two weeks. Um and it happened literally because of everything I learned by watching the courses about uh client acquisition and social it was uh yeah social media management and um it happened because I um you they teach you outreach so you have to outreach to friends and family and also local businesses and so I actually went to the chamber of commerce of topanga Yeah. And I met someone there who is a filmmaker and he needed someone to be doing his social media. And at the time if I had not been in the campus, I would have never thought I could do it, you know, but because I had been watching the courses, I just had the confidence and because I had the campus and I knew I knew I could ask questions and I could look at more courses to figure it out. So, I just I just sold myself as a social media manager and I and it was literally my first client and it was a retainer. So, right off the bat, it was a $500 retainer and I was just doing social media management which I had never done in my life, you know, and um that client I stayed with that client for six months, you know. So, that’s amazing.
Were they happy with your work?
Yes. and I was very happy with my work too. So, and I and I stopped working with them because I realized I actually don’t like social media management. It’s not my thing. So, you know, that’s also part of the journey, I think, figuring out what you’re really good at and just really laser focusing on that.
What do you laser focus on now?
Yeah, what I laser focused on now is that I built uh personal uh AIS for my clients. Um yes, AI is definitely the way forward, right? It is. It’s the best. And I used to work in AI, you know, so I I have a background in it. and um and so now with chat GPT and all the different platforms, it’s just so good, you know. Yeah. So, it’s constantly improving like month by month, it’s getting better and better and better. New technology always coming out. So, there’s always new things to learn also, which is great.
What was the difference between university and The Real World school?
Well, it’s just grounded in reality, you know. Um, we have bills to pay. Everyone does, you know, we need to make money. We’re not, you know what I mean? And I I mean, I’m I’m preaching to the choir here, but it’s a it’s true, you know. Um, and I don’t want to be taught or told that I’m gonna have a career by someone who’s broke and unhappy. You know, I I want someone who’s made it, who’s inspired and fired up to teach me that. And I and I feel, you know, that’s kind of the contrast between, you know, the traditional universities and then the real world. It’s the real world. This is the real world, you know. It’s it’s it’s a bit of a jungle. you know, and you have to be equipped to just navigate that, you know, and you know, LA.
Do you also work with family?
I so no I work with the boys so Andrew and Tristan but they’re like to me I’ve grown up is family to me. Yeah but not not blood family. No. Yeah. And I feel like that that’s such a myth that to debunk that you should not work with your family or you shouldn’t work with your closest friends. And it’s the that was kind of an epiphany moment for me, you know, when I I was like, wait, that makes total sense to work with my brother, you know. Yeah, you have to understand the people you’re working with and you have to understand people’s characters. There’s there’s regardless whether this was your cousin or not, some people are going to be snakes. It didn’t change they’re related to you or not. It’s the same. It’s just you have to decide with the people you’re working with what type of character you’re working with and understanding that character. That’s all it is. And that’s just that’s that’s in life in anything you do. Yeah.
Have you made a good return on investment from your $50 yet?
I have. I mean, you know, so since I joined, I’ve made over like $30,000. So, you know, I’m still like growing, you know, but I I I know I know it’s just only going to get bigger and bigger, you know, because it was a journey um for me to to like go through all of that and, you know, just get back on my feet. And now that things are I’m focused on, I know exactly what I’m doing now and what I want to focus on, then I feel like I can finally um apply all the lessons I’ve been learning for the past six months towards that and just double down. um you know but it’s it’s it’s been yeah it’s been a game changer and the people that I’ve met through you know h doing that the clients I’ve been working with it’s just been spectacular and it turned out that now I’m working with my brother you know which is so amazing so yeah yeah that’s amazing exactly you know it’s becomes a family affair and you know you can you can build empire from that and you guys can go and thrive together and and there’s the trust thing when when you’re working with with with family, you can there’s the trust already there. You understand the person and and you can bust his balls, he can bust yours, too.
