Founder Success Story QnA
Tell me what brought you to the real world. Tell me where you’re coming from and your age.
Actually, I’m from Pakistan. I’m 20. And I joined the real world in last year, July 2023. So, it’s been a year I’ve been inside of the real world.
What was you doing before the real world?
Before the real world, I just completed my high school. And I was also doing a job, a full 9 to 5 job. In a sales team in a multinational company. So we were dealing with international clients before that. So side by side, I was also focusing on the real world. And last December 2023, I quit my job.
What was it that made you come over to the real world? What opened your eyes to paradise?
You know, I’ve always wanted to do something more than just a job. And even before the real world, I was trying to do something side hustles, SMMA, whatever I could find on YouTube. But after doing that for about like 8 to 12 months, I think I did it for almost a year, I started doing online business and social media marketing and all of that in 2023. So after doing it for about an year, I realized that I need someone to teach me how to do it because I was very bad at that.
What was it you thought you was lacking before that the real world gave you?
It was direction. I didn’t know like I had all of the pieces of the puzzle, but I didn’t know how to put them together.
What was the first campus that you found yourself applying yourself to in the real world?
I’ve been in the copywriting campus since day one and today I’m still in the copywriting campus. I joined the ecom campus a couple of months ago to launch my own offers in an ecom store, but primarily I’ve been in the copywriting campus since the beginning.
Has that made you some money? What like what’s a ballpark figure you’re pulling in a month now?
That made me a heck ton of money. Last month I made 12K. That’s like three times more than a doctor in a year.
How did you make your first dollar in the real world? Walk me through the process.
It was in the last year July. When I joined the copywriting campus. So I started to apply whatever I was learning and I got a client. It was in Chetsy. It was in London, an interior designer. I landed a client and that was my first ever paid project and I made £350 from that.
How did you lock that first client in? Walk us through the exact process that it took you from learning the skill to locking in the first time.
You know when I joined the copywriting campus so there was a step by step guide what we had to do. So first we had to learn the basics and then we had to land a starter client. So I just followed what the professor taught to do the outreach and because I also had experience of sales from my job. So it was a bit easy for me to land my first client and when I landed that client I applied the lessons we were moving forward but I realized that wasn’t a good client. So I took help from the real world and the guys told me that I should give up on that client which was like a bad client.
Since then do you still use the same principles to acquire new clients now?
You know after that I had another client in the UK. I also worked with a couple of local clients here in Pakistan but they weren’t profitable at all because the business dynamics here are very different as compared to the UK, US or Europe. So I had my another client and I got like in terms of copywriting we call it a case study from that client. So I drove him like crazy results. I got him he was a he used to run a car dealership in a single month I got him 25 car sales and if you’re from the UK you might know people there use auto trader to buy cars so I got him from the Google and he was like surprised he’s like I don’t know I can get customers from there and from from that time I started to do outreach and landed more clients but for like four to six months I was running into some technical issues because you know I’m based in Pakistan so most of the time when they hear an Asian name or they see an Asian face, it just scares them out. It was a big problem for me to land more clients, but then I run into a good client and through that client, I made 12K in one month last month.
How did the real world help you plan that? How did it change your mindset?
You know as I mentioned even before I was trying to land clients but I was missing a few pieces of the puzzle. It was very short technical mistakes I was making back then and the real world helped me spot them do better and obviously when I applied the lessons the pieces I was missing I found them out in real world when I applied them in months I saw results and I got I was landing clients I think back then when I was doing outreach I booked a few sales call but I didn’t land a single client for an hour and when I started to use what I was learning in the real world it took me one month to land my first client.
How did the professors and the communities help you build a system in which you are successfully able to lock your clients in?
You know, when I joined the real world, I knew because I was I’ve been following Tate from a long time now, but I didn’t have the money to join the real world. I wanted to join the real world even before I knew that I can make it big if I join the real world. And when I joined the real world, I realized that there is so much more than what I know about the world because you know especially when you live in such a country, you don’t know what’s happening there. And I think most of the time it’s about what you don’t know that exists. So when I joined the web world, I knew things. I knew I get to know more methods of making money, more methods of doing outreach, more skills I could learn. And also in the copywriting campus, I’m not sure about the other campuses because I’ve not been in them. In the copywriting campus, it’s not just about making money. It’s about building a life. So, Professor Andrew, if he’s watching this as well, he have given us like amazing amazing tools to put our life together. Whole life, all aspects, not just money, health and fitness, relationships, everything. So, just gave me a system and mindset that I can use to move forward in my life. Not just money, like in all aspects.
How do you find the community in the real world?
From the beginning I was a bit skeptical you know before joining the real world because I took a few small courses even before the real world and my only concern was if there would be someone to help me out because that was the only thing that I was looking forward to and when I joined the real world I was literally shocked by the amount of help you can get in the chats and also if you are consistent if you are showing that you’re working hard even the professor and the senior students also noted that they come in, they help you, they review your projects. If there anything you literally need help with, even if it’s out of making money, they do it for you.
What would you say to yourself two years in the past about joining the real world?
No. You think you joined at the perfect time? Yeah. Exactly. Because you know back then my life was very different. Very different. I wouldn’t even think of joining something like this. Like for me or like if you talk about not just me like the people around me the way we live doing all of this that I’m doing is like a big thing. Most of my relatives think I’m doing something bad. I’m like selling drugs or whatever. How this guy is making so much money.
What was your fears before joining the real world?
My fear before joining the real world for us that is it going to be the way they have introduced it to me because I was scammed before through a course they marketed in a different way and obviously when I spent the money I joined I found out it wasn’t the thing they were really marketing initially. That was my main concern. But I obviously know through the number of testimonials I obviously saw the real world videos how guys were making money and all of the information that was available on the internet about the real world. So that was something that bridged that gap of my belief. That was what made me took the action to join the world.
What would you say is your greatest achievement inside the real world so far?
You know like recently I paid my mother’s debt. That was my biggest achievement I can say.
How much more money are you making now than you was when you was inside the world?
Last month I made 12K and now I’m pushing forward to 30K in the next two three months and so far I’ve made almost 18k in the real world. What was you making before this? When you was doing a job before? Before I was making $150, $200 a month.
Do you think the real world is something that you make money and you leave or you stay in? And if you think it is something you stay in, why?
You know, if it’s only about making money, there can be a point where you can join the real world, take all the lessons, but I think when you unlock one level, then there’s another, there’s another, there’s another. So, you constantly need someone who’s ahead of you who can guide you what to do. So, that’s why I’m not leaving the real world, but if someone wants to do, they can. It’s totally up to them. But if you truly are committed to improve your life as much as you can, then you’re going to stay inside of the real world.
What would be your message to the people who are listening to this now and considering joining the real world?
I would say that you have to bite the bullet and join the real world and expect to do a lot of hard work. But this is the only option you have because staying broke and being a nobody also hurts a lot. And I think that’s not a great path to go down. It’s great to put in work, effort, and change your life in the next year or so than to stay broke forever. You have to make it if you’re serious.
