Founder Success Story QnA

What brought you to the real world?

It was definitely my brother Krishna. Initially, I wasn’t planning to join the real world or anything. Before he came into my life as a brother and a true friend, I was still in college trying to get that matrix 9-to-5 job. Once I graduated and Krishna recruited me in his company, he paid for my first three months of the real world. After that, I switched from his part to mine, and I’ve never looked back ever since.

What were you doing before you joined?

I studied computer science, so I have a bachelor’s in computer science. My family also has a business here. I was planning not to join that at first and was just trying to do a 9-to-5, just be a slave to the matrix. But as I went along in my third or fourth year of college, I started to realize it’s not for me.

How did you make your first dollar in the real world?

When I first joined with my brother Krishna, we got two startup clients together. The first one we were doing social media, and the second one we were doing actual Facebook marketing for them. That was like my first dollar with him. Recently, this month, I just got my own client that I made, so I’m still trying to get that killer case study from her.

Did the real world help you lock in your first client?

It did. It really did. I just followed the process map. Honestly, I just trusted the process, followed the map as it is. I did feel there was a time I felt like I was probably going to lose the client, but Krishna was there always to motivate me like, “Hey, you can’t give up now. You got to keep going.” I was there texting a client around 8:00 PM, 10:00 PM, and I finally closed around the 10-ish mark. I was like, “Okay, I’m really proud that I actually did it.”

What sort of value are you still getting from the real world now?

There’s a lot of things to learn. There are a lot of Professor Andrew’s lessons that I need to know. I feel like I’m still at the 10% of the knowledge that the real world gives me. There’s a lot more to learn, at least in my opinion.

What are your goals by the end of this year?

I’m definitely trying to get like $10,000 a month. I’m trying to reach that so I can leave the 9-to-5 that I have currently. Even though I’m working at my own business that my parents got, I’m just doing Monday to Friday, 9-to-5. With that money, hopefully by the end of this year or early next year, I’ll get married to my current girlfriend.

How is the real world going to help you plan to achieve that goal?

Just definitely keep pushing and getting more clients. Getting good results for them rather than just getting clients and not delivering. If I get stuck, I know the real world is there to help me. Krishna, my brother, is there to help me. I got people I can trust. I got people that can motivate me, and I got the real world that can teach me and professors that can teach me the skills that I need to know in that particular situation.

How much a month are you making from the real world now?

Currently, the company is doing about $8,000-$9,000. That’s a rough figure, but it’s around there. Since we’re two people, we’re definitely trying to get to that $20,000 a month, so then $10,000 for me, and we’ll be solid.

How long have you been in the real world for?

Around eight months.

Do you think you joined at the perfect time or do you wish you would have joined a little bit earlier?

I wish I would have joined a bit earlier because I had another friend, he’s also my best friend, my brother, and we both follow Andrew Tate since like a couple years ago. He came to me like, “Hey, let’s do this business, let’s do this.” At that time, I felt it was so unorthodox because I was still in that mindset of just the 9-to-5.

What was your hesitation to join?

My main hesitation was that my parents really wanted me to just graduate and focus on that rather than anything else. I really hesitated because at that time I did not really feel comfortable with entrepreneurship, even though I come from a background of entrepreneurs. My grandpa built his empire. He came to America back in the 1900s and he has around 25 businesses here that he has invested in. I come from a culture where we’re born to be entrepreneurs rather than just 9-to-5.

Do you feel like the real world has given you clarity in the path that you now want to take?

Oh, definitely it has. When I first joined Krishna, I was still hesitant a bit, but when he said, “I’ll pay for it,” and as I kept watching lessons and stuff and just watching other people, other brothers win, it just made me motivated. I cannot be stuck with five, six, seven, eight thousand a month. I can do way more.

How has the community in the real world helped you see your path or helped you along the way?

I mainly just watch Professor Andrew Bass talk in his power call, just watching like, “Hey, you cannot just be happy with just X amount of money.” I’m always in the winners chat, just trying to see, trying to give people’s power up. Every time it gives me motivation because Professor Andrew does highlight the wins too, and there are a few of them that really hit. One guy, he just had a baby, and it’s giving him more motivation to just make him more hungry for money, I guess.

What would you say to people who are hesitant about joining the real world?

If you’re motivated to just make money, guys, it’s $50 a month. It’s not that much. Even if it’s $100, like you get so much in return that you’re just going to think that you’re spending pennies in the real world because of the knowledge that you get and because of the return you’re getting. If you just come here and sit around not doing anything, obviously it’s going to feel way more. But if you come, follow the steps, follow all the lessons, and even ask questions… At first, I was hesitant of just asking people for help because I didn’t know if people would think I’m dumb or whatever. But once I started asking questions, they made me feel that no, this is a natural, good question that I’m asking. I know it would be hesitant at first, but just try it out. I tried it out, and it was fun. It’s been a fun journey ever since then.

Have you ever hit any roadblocks? Is there anything that you’ve struggled with in the real world in the beginning that you’ve later figured out?

After we went to Thailand and India, we lost all of our clients that we had before back in November. It was just slow work, not delivering quicker, and I think just not giving them status reports. They were thinking that we’re not doing anything, even though we were making the money. We had a client that we were doing Facebook marketing for, and we actually made her like $5,000 that month additional to what she’s making, but we never gave her a report. We never talked to her, never did a weekly meeting with her.

What did you do after losing those clients?

Once we came back to America, we were like, “Okay, let’s sit together, take five, ten minutes, give five reasons what we did wrong and five reasons what we did right.” We came up with five individual ones, and if we had something similar, we tried to change it to see if we could find something else. We analyzed it, and we even posted that in the real world to ask for other people’s help like, “What can we do different? What did we do wrong?” We got really good answers. Ever since then, we’ve held weekly meetings with all of our clients. We’ve given them reports like Excel sheets and everything, and we’re just more active so they don’t feel like they’re going in this blind.

What was another main issue you had in your business?

Another main issue we had was that we were calling 50 businesses every day consistently, and we were just getting nos, nos, nos, or they’re not picking up. Once Krishna got that killer case study for that synography place, it scaled our business because we were making about like $2,000-$3,000 last month, and then ever since he got that killer case study for that client, we made that $3,000 into $8,000-$9,000 within just a month.

How do you stay motivated to reach your goals?

We had a thing like we kept saying, “Okay, let’s do this end of March. Let’s try to get $10,000. If we can’t do it, we’ll do this as punishment.” At first, we thought that was going to work, but that did not work. Then we made this like, “Hey, what’s something that you truly love that you will work more and more just to get that amount?” He said, “Okay, if I don’t make like $10,000 until I make $10,000, I’m not going to the gun range.” With me, I didn’t have that much, so this was a stupid reason. As an Indian, I love tea a lot. I drink tea literally twice a day. I said, “You know what? Until we get $10,000, I’m not drinking tea.” Now we’re getting close to that. We’re like eager, like, “Okay, he’s been like, ‘Oh, my trigger finger is itching. I want to go to the range.'” We put that—what are we willing to lose to try to gain this $10,000 a month? Once we get that, we can finally go back to that. That was a lesson: if I don’t achieve or if I don’t push myself to achieve, then there’s a natural punishment for it. That’s how life works.

Do you feel like the real world has changed your life?

Oh, for sure it has. From being so less motivated and not doing anything, just scrolling on my phone, wasting that time, wasting the dopamine, rather than just doing that, I now focus on something that’s going to make me money rather than just take my time. The time that you lose from doing that, you’re not going to get back, honestly, and there’s no real reward to it. You scroll, you haven’t won. That one second phone, still nothing.
